HOLIDAY CLOSURES:
There is good news and bad news.
The good news is there will be no cancellation of Saturday classes for the rest of the year.
The bad news is there are cancellations for the following days:

Tuesday, December 16
Tuesday, December 23
Thursday, December 25
Tuesday, December 30
Thursday, January 1st

Class schedule will resume as normal on January 3rd.

Awesome video of the time I judged beauty pageant contestants learning martial arts for Vancouver Television.

They had 10 minutes to practice a martial arts style and then perform it in front of the judges. Whoever displayed the martial art with the most confidence wins the challenge.

Halloween Roda 2014

Come join our annual Halloween Roda this year hosted by Vancouver’s Axé Capoeira. Haven’t you always wanted to play capoeira in a costume? Now is your chance! There will be some additional fun activities as well, so try not to miss out.

There will be no class this coming Tuesday, August 26th. Sorry for any inconvenience. Classes will resume on Thursday.

Also, on Saturday, August 30, come join us at the Summer Night Market on Vulcan Way near Home Depot in Richmond, for a short demo of capoeira. Show starts at 7pm on the stage. Hope to see you there!

NO CLASSES for the week of July 22 – July 26

The Batizado and the Afro-Brazilian Carnival is fast approaching. So to prepare for the event and to take part of the workshops and celebration downtown, there will be NO CLASSES for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for the week of July 22 – 26.

Classes will resume the following Tuesday, July 29.
