Hey Richmond Students,
Be sure to register early for this year’s week long summer event!
July 23rd to July 29th.
We will have classes and workshops taught by teachers and mestres from places like Brazil, Victoria, Toronto, Phoenix, Russia, Poland, and many more!
There will also be a big parade celebration and a capoeira competition.

Brazil 2011
I just wanted to inform you that I will be away for 2 weeks, but for good reason. I will be traveling with Axé Capoeira to Brazil. I leave August 16th and I’ll be back August 31st. This isn’t just a vacation in a very exotic country. I am looking forward to the hardcore capoeira training and hope to learn a lot more from some of the best capoeiristas in the world.
I won’t have access to my phone and I might be able to check my email, but classes will STILL be on regularly as I have found very qualified teachers to teach them.

Afro-Brazilian Block Party 2011 – July 23rd
This Saturday, July 23rd there will be NO Capoeira class at Richmond Martial Arts. Instead, everyone is welcome to attend the Afro-Brazilian Block Party being held by our group Axé Capoeira on Granville Street between Robson and W. Georgia.
Admission is FREE!
The event is expected to draw thousands of people for a full day of food and entertainment including traditional dance, music and Capoeira culminating in a huge Brazilian street party not to be missed.
I hope to see EVERYONE there!
